Registrar's Office

Temporarily located on the Greenbrier Valley Campus, the Office of the Registrar is charged with keeping the permanent academic records of all New River Community and Technical College students. Our purpose is to ensure accuracy, integrity and security of student records at New River Community and Technical College.

We provide student record services, in accordance with FERPA, to students, faculty, administration, alumni and proper agencies.

Registrar's Office Faculty Forms

Transient Form

Transient Form

This form is used by New River Students to take transient hours from another institution for one term. If the student changes or drops these courses please notify the New River Registrar’s office in writing.

At the conclusion of the term, it is the student's responsibility to send an official transcript to the New River Community and Technical College Registrar’s office within thirty days. If the transcript is not received, a hold will be placed on your Student records.

This form gives permission for the Registrar's Office to send a letter out verifing a student's enrollment for a specific term. 

Before a letter is sent the Student must be registered and marked paid by the Business Office for that term.

Charge:

The Distance Education Advisory Committee is appointed by the President and charged to advise the Vice President for Technology Services regarding periodic review of New River's online and distance education programs to ensure that quality standards are established and met. The committee also provides advice and recommendations to the Vice President for Technology Services regarding continuous improvement of New River's distance education program and online student services to better meet the needs of students, businesses, and the community. The committee participates in annual updates to the technology plan and ensures that appropriate strategic objectives are addressed by way of establishing priorities and providing the services and equipment that are needed for the delivery of New River's rapidly growing distance education program.  Voting members serve a two-year stint on this committee and replacement members will be nominated by the committee and appointed by the President.

Summer Financial Aid Applications are now available. Students taking summer courses also need to submit a 2014-2015 FAFSA including New River CTC’s school code 039603. The deadline for Summer Financial Aid Applications is Friday, April 24, 2015.
