Course prerequisites may be viewed in our current catalog online. Scroll over Future Students, Academics and click on College Catalog. The Course Descriptions are listed in the catalog in alphabetical order by Subject. Click here for College Catalog.
    5. Placement testing must be completed, dated before the start of the course and scores verified for eligibility by New River before the first day of the course beginning in order for the student to be enrolled in select courses. ACT and/or SAT or if you have scored an achievement Level 3 in English Language Arts and math on the West Virginia General Summative Assessment scores may be used instead and must be submitted prior to the beginning of class start date for assessment.
