Rachel Kelly is the Educational Counselor on the Greenbrier Valley Campus. Rachel graduated magna cum laude from Bluefield State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities with an English specialization in 2005. She also received her certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Prague Schools in Prague, Czech Republic in 2004. Rachel has been associated with New River for the past 14 years. She started as a work-study student in the Student Services office and later worked as a part-time office assistant to the Dean of Student Services. She then continued as an adjunct instructor teaching Developmental English and Life Management Skills in the Prep 4 College Success program. In 2010, she started working full-time as a Program Coordinator in the Success Center and later was promoted to the Educational Counselor. In her free time, Rachel enjoys gardening and Crossfit. She resides in Lewisburg with her husband and two children.
