Peter Hoeman, Educational Counselor for the Mercer County Campus, began his career on October 31, 2016, as an Instructional Specialist/Educational Counselor at New River Community and Technical College. He manages the Student Success Center for the Mercer County Campus. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Anthropology and Creative Writing from Kansas State University, and a Master of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Rely on multiple methods of communication regarding Inclement Weather decisions. The Alert Messaging System is one method (New River CTC’s portal, email & text messaging). Other methods include posting here, on official College social media channels (Facebook and Twitter), campus weather lines & messages sent to local television and radio stations.
