Machine Technology CAS

The Machining Technology Certificate program is offered on the Greenbrier Valley Campus of New River Community and Technical College in partnership with area industries that employ machinists in the manufacture or assembly of their products. The program includes classroom work in general education, support skills, and technical courses, as well as hands-on instruction and practice on basic machine tools in the College's shops and laboratories. Students also will intern in a working shop under direction of the College's instructor and supervision of a working machinist. Instruction in the operation of computer numeric controls (CNC) for machine tools is also available in the College's curriculum

Accreditation Presentations

Makeup sessions have been scheduled for the three Accreditation Self-Study presentations that were cancelled. They will be Monday, Oct. 13, 10 to 11:30 a.m., Advanced Technology Center; Monday, Oct. 13, 5 to 6:30 p.m., Raleigh County Campus; and Friday, Oct. 17, 2 to 3:30 p.m., Nicholas County Campus.
