Provisional Student

If you are a current high school student and would like to take a course through New River CTC, we consider you a provisional student. The following requirements and procedures must be met each semester in which you enroll:

You must have junior or senior status;

  • Must have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher
  • Must submit an Application for Admission each term you enroll
  • Must complete a Provisional Form prior to registration which includes:
    1. Recommendation and signature of the high school principal
    2. A list of approved courses
    3. Signature of parent or legal guardian and your signature

A 50/50 payment plan for the first summer term is available for self-paying students- 50% of your balance will be due by May 11, 2017 and the remaining 50% will be due on June 2, 2017 for the five-week term and June 23, 2017 for the ten-week term.
