Conversational Spanish - Nicholas County (8:00 am - 10:00 am)

Whether you are planning an exotic vacation at some point in your future or are just interested in learning a second language for personal enrichment, this class is for you. Taught by local business owner, Providencia Acabeo-Smith, this class will address the basic communication skills of the Spanish language.

This interactive workshop teaches the basics of memory theory adn also several  pratical applicantions.  I state the presentation by having participants make a list of 50 words, have them read them to me. I then repeat them forward, backward, or by number.  At the end of the workshop the participants will be able to do nearly the same thing.

Beginner's Quilting - Greenbrier Valley Campus (10:00 am - 3:00 pm)

This workshop will benefit both beginning and experienced quilters alike.  Sections on piecing, using rotary cutters, reading and using rulers and pattern reading will be included.  The kit will include fabric, book and a special ruler.  Every student will make a 74" x 106" quilt top to take home.  Instructors are Dorleen McDowell and Kim Roberts.

Cost:  $100 plus $150 quilting kit fee (kit is required).  Class size is limited; pre-registration is required.
