College Flag

Flag Unfurled at NCC-smallIn 2012 New River adopted a college wide flag. A simultaneous flag raising was held at its four campuses and the Advanced Technology Center in Ghent on Thursday, April 5 at 1:20 p.m. The ceremonies marked the first time that the new flag was flown at all locations. Scott Maxwell, a member of the Registrar's Office staff, did the honors on the Greenbrier Valley Campus in Lewisburg. Campus Dean Roger Griffith commented, "This flag symbolizes the spirit of New River and the hopes and dreams of its students. This is a shared experience for all of us in the New River family, as the flag is being raised at all of our campuses at the same time. It is an opportunity for us to come together as a College to reflect on our many successes and to recommit ourselves to serving New River's mission of providing accessible, affordable, quality education and workforce programs to meet the needs of people in our region."
