NEW RIVER’S MERCER COUNTY CAMPUS PLANS TENTH BIRTHDAY BASH AT AUTUMNFEST

[PRINCETON W. VA.] New River Community and Technical College is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, and each campus is hosting a birthday bash as part of the commemoration. The Mercer County Campus will hold its party on Saturday, Sept. 28, during AutumnFest in downtown Princeton.

The public is invited to visit New River's booth on Mercer Street for free goodies including t-shirts for the first 100 visitors, pencils, balloons and refreshments. There will also be a visit by Roy Hill's Drag Racing School. Roy Hill will bring a car and be on hand to visit with patrons.

The birthday celebrations are being held in conjunction with the inauguration of Dr. L. Marshall Washington as New River's third president. Each campus also is planning a community service event as part of the inaugural activities. The Mercer County Campus Student Government is planning a "Doo-Wop Day" at Princeton Healthcare on Sept. 26, when SGA members will dress up in their best 1950's themed clothing and provide music, dancing, refreshments and entertainment for about 40 residents.
For further information about these events, call the Mercer County Campus at (304) 304-425-5858.
