NEW RIVER REPRESENTATIVES TO MEET WITH POCAHONTAS COUNTY STUDENTS IN ELKINS SEPT. 27

Representatives of New River Community and Technical College will be available to meet with students and parents attending the annual College Fair at Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, W. Va. On Friday, Sept. 27, beginning at 9 a.m.
The College Fair provides high school seniors and parents from Pocahontas, Randolph, Tucker and Pendleton counties the opportunity to explore the various college options open to members of the Class of 2014.
New River representatives will be available to talk about the degree and certificate programs available through New River, which serves Pocahontas County through the Greenbrier Valley Campus in Lewisburg and the One Room University in Marlinton.
Through a reciprocity agreement with Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in nearby Clifton Forge, Va., students from Pocahontas, Greenbrier and Monroe County can pay in-state tuition for select programs study at DSLCC.
New River Community and Technical College is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and credits are transferable to most other regionally accredited colleges and universities in the United States.
Other locations of New River are the Beckley Campus, the Nicholas County Campus in Summersville, the Advanced Technology Center in Ghent and the Mercer County Campus in Princeton. Administrative offices are located in Beckley.
