Welcome to the Greenbrier Valley Campus of New River Community and Technical College. We are pleased that you have shown interest in our College and our campus. While our campus is in Lewisburg, our focus for providing educational services, both to individuals and businesses, is the whole region associated with the Greenbrier Valley. Our service region extends from Snowshoe Resort in the north, to the Town of Peterstown in the south, the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia in the east, and the Town of Hinton in the west. Greenbrier Valley Campus student population includes both citizens of small towns and of the rural countryside. We have the best of all possible settings--small-town art communities, such as Lewisburg, world famous resorts, such as The Greenbrier and Snowshoe--all set among some of the most breath taking panoramic views to be found anywhere in the world. Once again welcome to our community.

Advanced Technology Center

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the New River Community and Technical College's Advanced Technology Center in Ghent, WV.  We are pleased that you have chosen to pursue your education here.  We will strive to provide you with a learning environment that is challenging, yet supportive of your personal interests and needs.  We want you to succeed while you are here, and equally important, we want to prepare you for your life and the world of work.

You will find our faculty, staff, and administration ready to help you through your college experience. Small class sizes and personalized instruction will help make this journey meaningful and enjoyable. This, coupled with an emphasis on building competencies through hands-on experience, will better prepare you to "hit the ground running" when you gain employment following graduation.

Electric Distribution Engineering Technology, formerly known as Line Service Maintenance, draws regular attention from local employers. Our Automotive and Welding programs are regurally highlighted in the local media. Our most recent programmatic addition is, Industrial Technology (also known as Electro-Mechanical Instrumentation.) Our high placement rates are a direct result of the quality of instruction coupled with the relationship that we enjoy with our many business and industry partners. Workforce programs such as Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Heavy Equipment, and Welding are also taught at the Advanced Technology Center.

Our 93,000 square foot facility was dedicated in October 2010 and is located directly beside I-77 at the Ghent exit. For those interested in extended workforce training, we are conveniently located near several hotels and resorts. We assist our region in addressing the demands for a well-trained and educated workforce. Most importantly, we help ensure that local students and citizens have the best possible career opportunities in the new millennium.

Again, we thank you for being part of the New River Community and Technical College community!
